Wood exclusively from PEFC-certified forests is used for poles produced by Ruukki Forest Oy. All of our raw material suppliers are PEFC-certified.

Poles are made of slowly growing, dense-grained, particularly small-branched pine (Pinus S).

Poles are debarked along the surface with a debarking machine. Care is taken not to break the pole surface unnecessarily. The pole retains its natural form and thereby also its bending strength.

Pole dimensions:

• 430 cm ¤ 12–14 cm, 405 cm ¤ 8–10 cm / 10–12 cm
• 310 cm ¤ 8–10 cm / 10–12 cm
• 250 cm ¤ 6–8 cm / 8–10 cm
• 100, 150, 200 cm 6–8 / 8-10 cm / 10–12 cm 12–14 cm

Poles are dried with a chamber drier to 15–20% humidity.
Poles are packed in stacks with an average diameter 0.5 m and tied with 2–3 steel straps.
